The Environment Agency is a Non-departmental Public Body responsible to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. We play a pivotal role in delivering the environmental priorities of central government. Our work includes flood and coastal risk management, water quality and resources and climate change. It is also our job to be an independent advisor on environmental matters, especially through the spatial planning process. As the Kent and East Sussex arm of the Environment Agency, we want to create a rich, healthy and diverse environment for the people of Wealden.
