Representing NFU and the farming community in wealden.

 

I took over as NFU representative on the LSP in November 2009.  I am a partner in a mixed farming business, mainly Beef suckler herd, Breeding flock of sheep, most offspring fattened on farm, with summer grazing used on Pevensey Marshes.  We also grow some arable crops.  I believe that local food production, respect and the preservation of the green environment is vital to society. 

 

DEFRA's survey in 2007 showed there to be 3541 registered Agricultural holdings in East Sussex, employing 5087 people.
